Two, is better than one.

Sunday saw us checking out Imperial Nan Bei @ Tampines 1! :)

If you see how many food pictures in my camera I’ve yet to post up,
you’ll slowly realise what gluttons B and I really are.

It was pretty crowded! We had to wake about 10-15 mins for our seats. Thank God it was only us two, or we'll probably have to wait half an hour!

Sunday is ♥ because I’ll have B’s full company! :)

La mian beef brisket! The la mian is so much nicer than my noodles. So gonna order the la mian(s) only next time!

I loveeeee the beef brisket! :)

Pan-fried Pork dumplings! So crispy! It has the gravy inside, just like xlb. Mmmm, really delicious!

IMG_9865

Pan-fried baos with gravy inside too! The filling is so so so good!

This, is the ultimate must-try from Imperial Nan Bei! I really don't know what it's called, but just tell the waitress that you want a pie with chicken and mushroom and she'll help you order. The chinese words are so difficult to decipher, haha! First tried it when my mom bought it home, and wow even B said it was awesome! :D

Say Bye to awesome weekends and Hello to school.

FYP FYP FYP.

Manifesto!

Posted in Friends, Love, Pictorials by Angela Maryann on November 6, 2009

We’ve got invites to Blackmarket Manifesto Fashion show @ Zouk, courtesy of Aaron! So I called Peiwen, Mingqi and B along! Kind of like a mini celebration after our submission (that day), and a prelude party before our FYP. How lame, I know. But we were still hanging along the holiday / internship mood and were very reluctant to go back to school. Read : Very Reluctant.

Anyway, I love my pink dress I wore that night, from TSR btw. It’s super girly and feminine, I know, but it also made me look rosier than usual, like I plonked on heaps of pink blusher or something! I don’t know, but I kind of like the natural pink effect it radiated on me. Fortunately for me, I didn’t pull an all-nighter the night before because I managed to finish my assignment before bedtime and still had that sufficient 6/7 hours of sleep, so tired eyes and eye bags be gone! :)

I really like Mingqi’s necklace… can’t stop gawking at it. I spotted something similar online at F21.com long ago and finally managed to order a draping necklace and I can’t wait for it to come in the mail! WHEE!

Models of the night! The guy was super muscular. Haha! Pity my camera couldn’t capture more. My camera has issues and I’m comtemplating between two different models that I should and hopefully will get before X’mas!

We escaped the mayhem that was outside Zouk. Imagine Manifesto’s crowd + usual Friday night crowd. Do not want to mess with crowds. Gets us all cranky. So we took a cab down to Clarke Quay. Initial plan was Timbre, but we silly road idiots forgot how to walk to Boat Quay, so we settled for Brewerkz. The beer menu was extensive! A pity they didn’t serve anymore food because it was starting to be late. We had beers on empty stomachs! :(

Their menu of beers was pretty impressive! Mingqi, Peiwen and I ordered this thing where we could sample 4 types of beers (90ml each). We ordered the sweetest beers on the menu to try. I couldn’t down much of my beers maybe because of the lack of food, or something, I don’t know. Needed all their help to finish. HAHA IM SO LOUSY. :(

Timber soon, lovelies? I like Bulmers, this sweet cider beer only found at Timbre apparently. Anyone knows anywhere else that sells bulmers, please tell me! :)

Okay, I got to get ready to meet B now! Can’t believe I have not had school in 2 days? It feels so unbelievable! WOW. Ciao! ♥

One two three!

This was what PW and I do best, especially when you’re cooped up in a space for 8 straight hours mind you. The stupid lecture theatre was Freeeezing with a capital F. I was wearing 3 layers and I am still cold. The crazy, unglam, retarded shots are results of our victory from the presentation.

We weren’t fantastic, it wasn’t anything to boast about, but at least we made it through without me having to retaliate much. PW and I were rehearsing on how we plan to defend ourselves if they shoot us with ridiculous comments! Ah well! No need for that now. :)

So, What’s next?

Today, I figured out that I’m not that strong afterall. When you looked at me with those burning eyes and yelled with all your might, I cannot help but lose my braver facade and break down. You really got me this time.

We love random and spoil-us Sundays! Sundays are is probably my favourite day of the week! Saturday’s for me to rest from the crazy week, and for B to work, so Sunday is for us! ♥ This is the very Sunday before my driving test and before school commence and we wanted to relax and have a little fun.

♥ the boots okay! Scratched it a little alr :(

We wanted to go to Ion, to try out The Marmalade Pantry! The place was full! We had to put our names down on the waiting list for a table, but to our surprise, within 10 minutes we got a table! Next time, we’ll remember to book a table prior to our visit. ;)

The menu wasn’t extensive, but it was pretty good! There’s breakfast! Oooo, brunch! We need a car to go for brunch, or we’ll just starve ourselves to death, cos B and i are such late people. Heh. So I ordered the Crabmeat linguine since I heard it’s their most raved dish, and B ordered their sandwiches. I don’t know how that boy survives on just bread alone. He’s more inclined towards bread/sandwich/burger kind of dishes, while I am always pasta.

We loved to play with the sugar bowl! It’s such a perfect prop to take photographs of. Heh!

Well, the verdict? I ABSOLUTELY LUV THE CRABMEAT LINGUINE! It fuses the sourness of the tomato base with the sweetness of the crabmeat. Really really delightful! And apparently, B’s sandwiches were really filling, quite a surprise! It was good as well! Though the prices were a little steeper than your average eating hang-outs, it was acceptable for a restaurant like that, and it was worth every penny! I am so going there for more high-teas, or brunches in future! Their menu of cup-cakes / cakes looked soooo good too! A must-try the next visit! :)

He said, she says.

Bb and I managed to win tickets to the Topshop / Topman Fashion party @ Ion tickets! Happy kids I tell you!

The launch of the Christopher Kane x Topshop collection, plus Topshop & Topman’s F/W collection. Excited much!!

Everybody, and I do mean EVERYBODY, headed str8 to the store after the show, so can you imagine how many people where in Topshop at one go! They probably wanted to get a piece of the Christopher Kane’s croc top/dress which I heard, were snapped up within minutes! WOW.

Bb and I gave up squeezing through the impossible crowd, and headed to Topman instead! He bought this awesome awesome turtleneck top which looked oh-so-fab on him. :) My stomach began to feel queasy and we headed out a while for some air.

We rejoined the crowd later, and did I mention I saw my favourite babe there?? :) So happy okay! I haven’t seen her for 3 months because of SIP, and I met her here, at this party! Haha! We took pictures at the Topshop photobooth and we got one copy each! ♥

My two favourite pictures of the lot! ♥

I was really impressed with the event! With the exception of the fashion show being outdoors because everyone was decked in their best and with the heat, it was awful. The store actually had a dj – Clash the disko kids spinning, with a manicure corner, and a photobooth! Plus, the goodie bag did not disappoint! Not bad eh. :)

. . . . . . . . .. . ..

Taking a break from brainstorming for concepts and ideas. Its especially exhausting when inspiration just doesn’t want to hit you when you need it most. We’ve just finished our first presentation for FYP yesterday, and it wasn’t a pretty sight for many. The lects spared no mercy with their critics.

It’s gonna be a hell period! :(
