Soulful

Posted in Love by Angela Maryann on July 29, 2009

Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around.

You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you.

When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful.

There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon.

You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end.

Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.

Dunkin Donuts @ Ion!

Bb is like, so not over the donut craze! Dunkin donuts were alright, nothing special to rave about, BUT it’s nice. :) He is crazy! J.Co donuts, Donut factory, Donut empire. The last I heard is 100 calories for one donut! He is so going to make me fat!

Day 1 of Week 1! Wow. I am brought to the brighter side of VM. I used to have a bad vibe about VM because of a female lecturer that I swear, gave the whole class a good scare, and then came you know who, who annoys the shit of everyone because of you know what he does! (Haha) Today, they taught me about the passion. The passion of doing something you really like. “Being sian occurs in every vocation, it’s all about the passion that brings you through”. So true.

I know it’s not going to be easy, but I hope by keeping positive about things would help to take me through week 12! :)

THE SCARLETROOM X COLLECTION 06 !

TSR061

Did I mention how I super love the upcoming collection? Plus, I’ve had a sneak peek at some of TSR’s manufactured items and it looks reallyyy good! ^^ Had to restrain myself to not get too many pieces, haha! The second picture, the black dress is really cute! It can be worn either like how I did (tied it up with a sash on the dress and shorten it), or, for girls who prefer it longer, it can be worn with a belt. Tempting, yes. :)

This is one fab dress if you’re into floral patterns! The cutting of this dress is simply flattering! It doesn’t make you look too puffy despite the tulip bottom. It comes with a side zipper so you know it definitely fits you just nice! First hand information! :)

This dress resembles the one from Zara I’ve seen a while back. Comes in black as well. The fringe is really cool and isn’t too overwhelming cos it’s only at the sides. Grace got one for herself, and it’s reallyyy tempting for me, hehe!

This tunic seems like the perfect lazy day outfit! It’s casual yet with a twist – just slip on a boob-tube or a normal tube and it looks simple, yet chic. One of my staple colors in the wardrobe for school. :)

I love the prints on this dress! The pinkish undertone of the florals are to die for – one of my few favourite floral pieces! It’s really sweet for the girlier girls! :)

Okay, YES, I’m finally free from the chains of school, hence more time to blog, yay! I am, praying, hoping, wishing, keeping fingers crossed, that internship would not kill me, and please let me have nice people working with me! That’s all I’d ever wish for. I would have more time for dinner dates, so BRING ON THE DATES + COOL NEW DINING PLACES! :>

Having my advance birthday family gathering now, my mommy is too sweet. She cooked up such an exotic feast! She even made me an ice-cream cake + cheesecake and kept complaining at how ugly it is. Hehehe, isn’t she so cute? Yes, she’s quite adamant on fattening me up. Well, I haven’t really seen it yet, but mommy dearest, however awful it may look, I’ll really appreciate all your efforts. Luv u. :) :) :)

I really wanted to catch the solar eclipse when it happened. It was said to be the longest in a while, lasted for approx 6 mins. The next one of such length would be in 2032. But it happened at 8.54am (Singapore time), when I was in school and when it was raining so heavily. The dark clouds concealed the sun. Bummer. Imagine, the day being dimmed to almost night-like darkness. That sounds strangely weird/scary/sinister, but I would want to experience it, someday.

I’m home on a Friday night. Two nights in a row. This is the last night I am going to be caught home on Friday – because of school work. The block has finally ended, or so I thought. The dateline got extended, and judging from how the ‘market’ was, if my model was not improved on, its likely to be graded a C. I’m not going to sit back and watch that happen can’t I? So yes, I brought it home again. Now I’m staring at it in absolute distaste. Wondering what on earth I was thinking when I came up with the design. It’s a matter of fine-tuning it with minute details that might probably help to spruce it up a little.

All that school has drained me of my juices badly, and hopefully with Internship next week, it’ll open my eyes a little more into the industry. I am so, so sick and tired of useless modules. I feel so cheated, because 3 years ago, they didn’t say that this is going to happen. 3 years ago, I knew that life’s here is not going to be easy. But 3 years ago, I didn’t know I’d be a construction worker/manual labourer/architect/VM-er. Anyway, I have only 1 module left! *cues happy music*

Happy weekend everyone! xx
